We are very proud to present as our first Urban Profile for 2001 - the evervescent, vivacious and beautiful Cindy who had the following things to say about some of her favorite things. . .

What are your favorite restaurants?
Bobby’s (an Italian Food truck stop) and David’s 24 Hour Cafe on South Beach, because after a hard night of clubbing their sopa de pollo (chicken soup) is bananas!

Favorite Bars or Nightclubs?
Level on Mondays, Club Space and Urban Suites at Alligator Alley on Thursdays (the Urban Suites is poetry night).

Favorite Boutiques and Clothing Stores (Designers)?
Express, Shopping Online, anything that fits my big booty!

Person(s) most influenced by?
My Abuela (grandmother) and Assatta Shakur, because they are both extremely strong willed women that never crumble.

Favorite beverage(s)?
Capri Sun “Big” Wild Cherry, Apple Juice and Hennessy with Sprite.

Favorite artist/musicians?
Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Nina Simone, OutKast, Wu Tang, Dr. Dre, Sade and Lenny Kravitz.

Favorite authors/artists (other mediums)?
In Style Magazine. Johnny Mapp, a painter from Atlanta. RashidaBartley, a south Florida poet who just finished her own book, The Writings of Just One Negro Woman.

Hobbies?
Listening to music, relaxing, traveling, clubbing, being with my family and friends and of course - watching the Powder Puff girls!

What do you do now?
Radio producer and on-air personality Monday through Friday (6:00 - 10:00 PM) on 99 Jamz - 99.1 - WEDR!

How do you balance spirituality and fame?
By always remembering that the Creator has blessed me and as quickly as it came, it could be gone even quicker!
