Over Fifteen Years of Entertainment

by Paul Hollywood Williams

The Two Hundredth Anniversary Issue! I can’t believe it myself – not that I didn’t believe we wouldn’t make it here – I’m planning a bigger party for when we get to One Thousand, but it is a wonderful achievement. This cover story is to thank you – my readers and advertisers who have made 200 issues possible. Of course I thank my loyal writers, web designers and the artistic crew who make the magazine possible month after month. And naturally thanks are due to our off the chain cavalcade of excellent artists and community professionals we’ve been able to profile in these illustrious pages.

When I think of the 200 Issues that are special to me, the last four years really come into focus with some of the best in artist representation and entertainment reporting for the South Florida communities. I am very proud that NOW ENTERTAINMENT has always striven to be a community team player and an instrument to bring people together – we’re not about being dividers here, we’re about making things happen, giving developing artists a chance, opening up the people’s eyes to little known shopping treasures that abound in our towns and cities – we are a magazine that for 200 issues has made people smile – hell, with the Sunshine Girls we’ve made quite a few of you drool!

I am very thankful for the South Florida community for being consistently supportive and sticking with us. Over the past 10 years we’ve tried many ventures and brought the talent and excitement of NOW to other cities and shores: Toronto, Canada, Kingston, Jamaica, New York, Las Vegas and Atlanta to name a few – I’ve launched issues and worked closely with artists in over a dozen communities, but it is South Florida where we are headquartered and where I and my staff call home – we have you all to thank for that.

Face-T is a British trio that masterfully blends not only their unique personalities but also their diverse backgrounds. Lauren, Paris and Danielle have combined their singing talents to bring you the latest fusion of music.

Signed to Shang Records by renowned reggae/dancehall producer Clifton "Specialist" Dillon, these vibrant soulstresses have been perfecting their craft – singing, dancing and writing - while attending a performing arts school in Leeds. Just as Shang Records secured Grammy awards and numerous gold and platinum records with its artists in the past, they intend to repeat the same success with Face-T.

With the release of their first single, "Shy", a playful song about teenage puppy love sung over a rich, bouncy track, Face-T guarantees to attract global attention. In 2004, Face-T is set to reveal their colorful, eclectic blend of pop, soul and reggae on their debut CD.
