To
celebrate
its
25th
Anniversary
in
the
music
industry,

the
largest

music

United
States
-
will
stage
a
number
of
events
including
exclusive
releases,
special
projects
and
a
series
of
concerts
throughout
the
year.
The
biggest
and
most
spectacular
of
these
events
will
be
the
25th
Anniversary
Concert
scheduled
for
May
30th,
(Memorial
Weekend)
2004,
at
the
spacious
Bayfront
Park,
Downtown
Miami.

his
mega
outdoor
event
will
feature
live
performances
by
some
of
VP’s
top-selling
artists
including
Beres
Hammond,
Shaggy,
Buju
Banton,
Elephant
Man,
Sizzla,
Capelton,
Marcia
Griffiths,
Maxi
Priest,
Rik
Rok,
Lady
Saw,
Baby
Cham,
Sanchez,
TOK,
Tanya
Stephens,
Rayvon
and
more.
Patrons
will
enjoy
a
day
in
the
park
jamming
to
the
music
of
their
favorite
VP
Records
artist,
taste
the
delicious
food
and
exotic
refreshment,
and
view
beautiful
crafts,
jewelry,
clothing
and
artifacts
from
the
various
Caribbean
islands
being
represented
by
the
many
vendors
on
hand.
With
dancehall
reggae’s
increasing
popularity
and
crossover
appeal,
this
one-of-a-kind
event
will
showcase
a
broad
spectrum
of
Jamaican
music
and
attract
a
wide
section
of
South
Florida’s
multi-ethnic
population
as
well
as
thousands
of
visitors
who
flock
to
Miami
and
South
Beach
to
attend
various
events
staged
over
the
Memorial
Holiday
Week-end.
The
week-end
festivities
will
begin
with
a
VIP
All
White
party
on
board
the
Atlantic
Casino
hosted
by
Shaggy
and
Rik-Rok.
Entertainment
will
feature
top
DJs
Massive
B,
DJ
Khaled,
Steelie
Bashment,
Don
One
and
Prodigy
Movement.
While
sailing
in
beautiful
Biscayne
Bay,
patrons
will
enjoy
a
tasty
Caribbean
buffet
while
sipping
exotic
libations
and
mingling
with
music
industry
celebrities
and
executives.

Rising
hip-hop
star
Jacki-O
of
Miami’s
Poe
Boy
Entertainment
and
New
York
based
TVT
Records
was
nominated
yesterday
for
the
6th
Annual
BET
Awards
(Black
Entertainment
Television).
In
the
“Best
Female
Hip
Hop
Artist”
category,
newcomer
Jacki-O
is
in
the
running
with
Hip-Hop
veterans,
Da
Brat,
Rah
Digga,
Missy
Elliott,
and
M.C.
Lyte.
This
is
Jacki-O’s
first
nomination
for
an
award
show.
.Jacki-O
is
elated
that
she
has
been
nominated,
she
said,
“I
am
so
happy
and
glad
to
be
nominated
in
a
category
with
other
great
artists,
and
BET
has
continued
to
do
great
things
for
Hip-Hop
and
new
up
and
coming
artists,
it
is
a
great
honor
to
be
nominated
so
early
in
my
career.”
Last
month
the
hip-hop
diva
signed
along-term
deal
with
Poe
Boy
Entertainment/TVT
Records.
The
Liberty
City-
native
has
ignited
the
charts
with
her
breakout
single,
"Nookie"
and
the
Timberland-produced
follow-up,
"Slow
Down."
The
multi-talented
emcee
will
be
in
the
studio
putting
the
finishing
touches
on
her
TVT
record
debut,
“Poe
Little
Rich
Girl”
scheduled
for
a
late
summer
2004
release.
TVT
Records
is
Soundscan
and
BillBoard’s
#
1
independent
record
company
of
2003
and
the
#1
record
label
for
Urban
music.
The
label
released
the
double-platinum
album,
"Kings
of
Crunk"
from
Lil
Jon
&The
East
Side
Boyz
which
is
still
in
on
Billboard’s
Top
200
Albums
chart
in
its
75th
week
since
release
Poe
Boy
Entertainment
is
home
to
many
other
talented
recording
artists.
Poe
Boy’s
artists
perform
Gospel,
R&B
and
original
rap
music.
The
conglomerate
also
has
a
motion
picture
and
clothing
division.
The
award
show
will
be
held
in
Los
Angeles
on
June
29,
2004
at
The
Kodak
Theatre.
It
will
be
hosted
by
Actress/Comedienne
Monique
and
will
feature
musical
performances
by
Janet
Jackson,
Usher,
Outkast
and
more.
